About the Journal
General Information and Scope
"Știința Agricolă" (Agricultural Science - ISSN 1857-0003 / E-ISSN 2587-3202) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original research articles and case studies in the field of agricultural sciences. The journal is published by the Technical University of Moldova and serves as a platform for disseminating high-quality scientific results with both national and international relevance.
The Journal was founded in 2005 by the State Agrarian University of Moldova and the Institute of Agricultural Technics “Mecagro”. In 2022, following the absorption of the State Agrarian University of Moldova by the Technical University of Moldova (Government Decision No. 485 of 13 July 2022), the Technical University of Moldova became the official publisher of the journal.
The primary aim of the journal is to contribute to the advancement of agricultural knowledge and practice by promoting research that addresses the current challenges and opportunities in modern agriculture. It encourages interdisciplinary approaches and fosters collaboration among researchers, academics, and professionals involved in agriculture and related sciences.
The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Crop science and plant protection
- Soil science and agrochemistry
- Agricultural engineering and technologies
- Animal science and veterinary medicine

Știința Agricolă is committed to open scientific communication and upholds rigorous standards of quality, ethics, and academic integrity in all published works.
The Journal is evaluated by the National Council for Accreditation and Attestation and it is classified as a Category B scientific journal.
It is published biannually (in June and December) and is available in both print and electronic formats.
